Biometric data includes data about our body or our behavior.
This includes, for example, fingerprints, handprints, the uniqueness of our hand veins, face recognition (now also with a mask), our DNA, iris and retina recognition, the typing rhythm on a computer keyboard and the way we walk.
According to European data protection law, biometric data is particularly sensitive. Such data is linked to our individual identity and can be used to infer proprietary and intimate information about ourselves and also about our health. Biometric safeguards such as a face ID could also be circumvented in this way.
Would you also like to prevent biometric recognition technologies from being used more and more against us? Would you also like the use of biometric surveillance to be strictly regulated or even banned in Europe?
